Fall Beauty Wishlist

Wednesday, September 3, 2014

September is a treasured transition month for me. I get excited to pack up all my Summer loves and pull out all my Fall favorites. This is also a great time  for me to pick up new beauty loves that I have been eyeing at my local Sephora. I've been keeping a list of old favs that I want to restock and new additions that I can't wait to try. These are some of the awesome products that are on my Fall Beauty Wishlist!

Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil - When the weather gets chilly, my hair starts to poof up like nobody's business so I need a product to keep the frizz in check. I've tested out the Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil in my local Sephora a couple of times and it does a great job of taming the poof and separating the different layers in my hair, without weighing it down or making my hair greasy.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Dollface - During the Fall, I like to switch out my shimmery blush for a shade that's a bit more matte. I look for a shade that gives me a healthy glow, like I just ran 5 miles, which, knowing me, I probably didn't. The Tarte blushes give your cheeks a natural-looking flush that can be built up for a more dramatic look.

Fresh Sugar Face Polish - My face definitely gets a lot drier with the changing weather, and exfoliation becomes an absolutely essential part of my skincare routine. While I love, love, love the Clarisonic, mine sadly broke this past summer and replacing it would be rather pricey. In the interim, I've found a delicious smelling exfoliation alternative, the Fresh Sugar Face Polish. Made with Brown Sugar and delicious Citrus Oils, it is an amazing smelling scrub for a cold Fall day.

Dr. Jart+ Dis-A-Pore BB Cream - Another recent favorite of mine is the Dr. Jart+ Dis-A-Pore BB cream. I got a sample of this BB cream in one of my previous Birchboxes and since then, I've been smitten. It blends beautifully with my fair skin and with an SPF of 30, it protects it from the harmful rays. It will make for a great product transition from Summer to Fall.

NARS Lipstick in Scarlet Empress - This was my favorite go-to lipstick last Fall and I see it being a favorite shade in the rotation this year too. The description says it's a semi-matte blue red, but I would describe it more as a deep berry. It's a totally buildable shade, that can go from a light pink to a dark, dark berry, depending on the layers of lipstick. It makes a great transition lipstick, from wearing it to the office to building it up for grabbing drinks with friends.

Chanel Chance Eau de Toilette - This is a perfume that I seem to go back to again and again, no many how many perfumes I own. It is a classic and elegant scent, perfect for any career gal on the go. It also has incredible staying power. Most perfumes' scents disappear a couples hours after they've been sprayed, but I catch whiffs of this scent all day long. A perfect perfume to transition from work to play, I am excited to put this scent back into my Fall rotation.

  1. ok I was really trying to hold off on buying any new lipsticks but now I want that NARS one you mentioned. Every time I buy one that I think is berry-hued, I end up with a burgundy or pink. Subtle difference, but frustrating haha. Also I love the Tarte blushes. I have one in I forget what color... Bliss maybe. It's good stuff.

    1. LOL! I've been trying to hold off on buying anything at the moment, but I tend to fail at that. As for lipstick shades, I hate that and it's hard with my hair color to find a lot of shades that compliment my bright hair and pale skin.
