Hunter 'Tour' Packable Boots

Monday, October 6, 2014

Here is where I happily talk about my new favorite boots. Nope, they're not riding boots or over the knee boots or even cute new booties for Fall. They are the Hunter 'Tour' Packable rain boots! With my trip to Michigan coming up this week, I knew I would need something a bit more substantial to wear around town. I don't think my cute little cornucopia of flats would cut it in the pouring rain and mud, which the forecast says will be happening a couple of the days that we're there. I thought long and hard about this purchase because it is certainly not an inexpensive one. I repeatedly came to virtually visit the shoes online and even went so far as to have a dream where I was wearing them! This is when I need I really needed them, if only to save my dreams for more important messages.
I debated over navy, black and military red and finally settled on military red. I read somewhere that seeing a pop of color on rainy days can really improve your mood so I thought I would test out that theory. I debated between these boots and the original, but according to a bunch of reviews, the originals can be a bit bulky with lots of walking and I am sure we are going to be walking quite a lot during this trip. I took these for a test spin when I first got them and they are fantastic! They are so light and easy to walk around in. As an added bonus, they are also packable so I can bend them in half and toss them in the hunter bag they came with so I can pack them for my trip. I also grabbed a pair of fleece hunter socks to go with them so my feet are going to be dry and cosy all Fall, Winter and Spring! They are also going to be so cute and stylish! I can see myself wearing these the entire trip. They are even on sale right now on Nordstrom.com! Check them out!

  1. Here's my ongoing problem:

I love these, and want some. But since I live in New Mexico, there's no need for them!

Then again, there probably isn't a need for 90% of my closet...

  2. This is absolute genius! I don't get many opportunities to wear my boots here in Florida, so I always want to pack them if I go up north. It would be great to have a pair that is easy to pack. I love that these are lightweight and comfortable for walking, too.

  6. I love the purple ones but that's probably just because I love purple so much.

  7. I want a pair of Hunters so bad, but in Houston I don't have much need for them. I would go with basic black though.

  10. I would have picked red too, I love that color. I am thinking about picking some of these up. It doesn't rain that much in San Francisco, but whenever it does it is pain to get to work as I wear dresses everyday and these would be perfect!

  11. You have excellent taste Lady. Hunter rain boots are such a classic staple in a wardrobe, and the red are adorbs. Love this post!

  12. If that is one drawback of living in So Cal that would be that there is really no need for rain boots. I do love the style though.

  17. Red rain boots! Love it. I'd love to have a pair like that at some point down the line. To go with a red umbrella maybe. Mm.

  18. I'm iffy on these. I LOVE them, but I don't want to be wearing them since I like to be "different" with my boot choices and not go with the trend. BUT I LOVE THEM.

  26. Utah's not wet enough for those. When we get lots of precipitation it's frozen! Love them though!

  27. These are some awesome colors to choose from! I live in San Diego though, where it literally rains like 2 times a year...not complaining, just saying. They are cute though!!!

  28. AHHH I so have always wanted a pair of these, but it rains once or twice a year in Cali so it is totally not worth it!!

  29. I've always wanted a bright shiny red pair, but it never ever rains in So Cal. Sigh. So cute!

  30. Nothing is as uncomfortable as extremities in weather, especially when they are too low. For hunters, cold weather can really reduce their fortunes if they aren't well prepared for the season. Warmth is mandatory if at all you want to increase your fortunes during this period. How sad it would be for you to overlook the MuckBoots Men's Arctic Pro Hunting Boot: boots associated with warmth, comfort, and convenience amongst others.
