My Haircare Must Haves

Wednesday, October 29, 2014

I actually don't spend all that much time on my own hair, but I think the low maintenance look is definitely best achieved when I use my haircare must haves! My favorite shampoo and conditioner recently have been the Classic Shampoo & Classic Conditioner from Aesop. Aesop uses an abundance of plant based ingredients in their products and they are so soothing. The classic shampoo contains Rosemary leaves, Cedarwood Bark and Juniper Berry and the conditioner contains Bergamot Mint, Cedarwood Bark and Lavender Stem. Using this combo always makes me feel like I'm taking a little trip to a very relaxing spa (seriously, so necessary sometimes).  Once or twice a week, I also love using a hair mask and this one from Macadamia is awesome. This Deep Repair Masque smells deliciously nutty and does a great job of moisturizing my hair without making it greasy.
My apr├Ęs shower favorites include the Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment, Herbal Essences Curl Boosting Mousse and the Bumble & Bumble Brilliantine. I love to use the healing oil treatment on the very ends of my hair to protect them from blow-dry, environmental, and basically any other damage that comes my way. Next up, I use a bit of curl boosting mousse through the length of my hair. It does a great job of enhancing my natural waves and it smells incredibly like apples (seriously!!!). I love randomly sniffing my hair through the day and getting a whiff of apple. The last thing I do to my hair is usually take a tiny amount of Bumble & Bumble Brilliantine and calm any crazy fly-aways (I tend to have quite a few). It's perfect for doing that and giving me a bit of control over my hair if I want to style it a certain way.

Have some haircare must haves of your own? Share them with me in the comments below!

p.s. I may/may not have just sniffed my own hair to get a whiff of appley scent.

  1. My hair care must-have's is the Cavier leave in conditioner! Have you tried it? I've only gotten deluxe sized samples at Sephora. Love the smell of it too.

  21. My hair care is so easy, I feel like I got blessed with pretty decent hair. I just use Hair food from Clarol or Jason's organic line and dry shampoo on my days off from washing. I never have to use product to make my hair stay.. I guess because it's so thick?
