Easter Outfit Ideas

Tuesday, March 31, 2015

Whether you celebrate the return of Jesus or the coming of a giant bunny that leaves baskets and eggs filled with candy, it's time to get ready for Easter! Easter is this coming Sunday and I've been getting so excited to celebrate the day with family and a few close friends. My mom even hosts an adult Easter egg for my sister and I around the house so we can run about and find eggs filled with quarters and little presents. We will never be too old to celebrate Easter like we're still 5 years old. After opening up our Easter baskets and running around for our Easter egg hunt, we always have a homemade dinner together. It's a nice tradition for our family, making sure we get to set aside a bit of time to spend together. I always love picking out the outfit to wear too since Easter always lands a bit after the arrival of Spring. Pretty pastels, delicate lace and fun Spring colors are always a theme in the outfits I pick out. So whether you're headed to church or an Easter brunch with your family, check out these looks below for some Easter outfit inspiration!

Scents of Spring

Monday, March 30, 2015

Like many things I like to change with the seasons, Perfume is on the top of that list! I like to mark the change of the seasons by putting my winter scent back on the shelf for something a little lighter. Notes of citrus, bright florals and clean cotton are just a few of the delicious scents that I have earmarked for this time of year. I love to wander around Sephora pulling off the caps and taking a whiff of every new scent. It definitely takes a lot of trial and error for me to find that perfect scent that I can wear all day, everyday. Here are a few of my perfume favorites for scents of Spring!

Erin Condren Life Planner

Sunday, March 29, 2015

Lately, I've been in total obsession mode with my Erin Condren Life Planner. I have always been a bit of a planner addict. In college, my planner was marked up everywhere and looked like my highlighters had just exploded all over it. Everything was colorful and bright and grabbed my attention. I carried it with me all day, ever day and every single little note, plan or idea went into it. It practically ran my life. After college, my need for a planner dropped off a bit. Without classes to go to, class council meetings to plan, or multiple internships to make time for, my day to day was looking a little bit sparse.
My planner love didn't return until very recently. Just a few weeks ago, I was stressed over how many things I had planned in the coming months because I kept forgetting to take care of the little things during my busy days. The small items I wanted to pick up, that email I was supposed to write, the makeup I wanted to order, etc. I kept meaning to write the little things down somewhere, in between all the events, but I had no real place to do so. Enter the Erin Condren Life Planner. With a day to day break down from morning to night, I can write down every little item I need to accomplish and find the actual free spaces of time to do it. Not only does it help me remember every small thing, but it does so in the most fun, cutesy way.
I discovered the world of planner stickers and planner decorations and it has seriously changed everything when it comes to planning out my weeks. There is a cute sticker for seriously everything! I can't believe I didn't realize that there is a whole Etsy world for those who like to decorate their daily planner lives with a bit of fun. My boyfriend definitely laughs at the amount of stickers I have curated to decorate and plan out each week, but it's one of those things that cheers me up when little else can. I am SO excited to sit down on Sundays and start decorating my planner for the upcoming week(s) and I have started to buy stickers for every little thing. My two newest stickers favorites for this week have been my Disney Princess stickers and the Disney quotes stickers. With my Disneyland trip about a month away, it's helping me get into the Disney spirit!

March Favorites

Thursday, March 26, 2015

March has been a really busy month for me and a bit of a stressful month. With so much going on, it was hard to find time for myself, but I forced it in just to ensure I didn't go crazy. With those little bits of time for myself, I was able to find a few new favorite items that I came to adore during the month of March.
Essie Mint Candy Apple - Spring is here and so are Spring nail polishes! I practically dragged my sister to Walgreen's so I could pick up the beautiful shade of Essie's Mint Candy Apple nail polish. They describe the color as a creme de menthe mint, which to me just means a pretty pale green, like a stick of spearmint chewing gum. After I bought it, my sister and I decided to give ourselves little at home manicures and the color looks fantastic with both of our skin tones.
Planner Stickers - I have been totally obsessed with my Erin Condren planner since the moment I got it. I love decorating my days in each little block and getting myself pumped up for the fun events I have coming up. My new obsession lately has been searching for the perfect stickers to decorate my days on Etsy. They literally have stickers for every single occasion, which is perfect for me because I like to celebrate everything, no matter how big or small!
J.Crew Factory Fluted Skirt - I have raved about my love of these skirts before and I probably will again. They are the perfect accessory for any work wardrobe and they can be dressed up or down really easily. I was so worried that since all the shades of the skirt were so dark, that I might have to pack them up until next fall, but I was in luck when J.Crew came out with some bright, new shades of the skirt for Spring! They come in a few fun colors sure to brighten my workday mood.
The Mortal Instruments Book Series - I have read the entires series at least once or twice before, but I picked it up again randomly a couple weeks ago and read through each rabidly. I remembered why I enjoyed the series so much. It focuses on a redheaded girl named Clary who discovers a secret world of warlocks, wearwolves, vampires and shadow hunters (part angel & part human). It is such a fascinating read and perfect for those who loved the Divergent and the Hunger Games series.
Wen Sweet Almond Mint Conditioner - My hair has gotten ridiculously long lately and I think I've just now started to notice. I really need to get a proper hair chop, but I've been so busy that I haven't found the time yet. This means my ends are running a big ragged and to keep the split ends and snarls at bay, I've been using Wen Sweet Almond Mint conditioner. It not only smells amazing, and it really does, but it does the absolute perfect job of bringing a bit of moisture into my hair without making it overly greasy. Definitely a necessity with my hair at this stage!

Benefit & Birchbox Roller Lash

Wednesday, March 25, 2015

Tuesday afternoon and I'm en route to the Benefit boutique on Chestnut for the Birchbox & Benefit Roller Lash Launch event. Benefit just launched a new super curling mascara, Roller Lash, and was showing it off, teaching all of us girly girls how to maximize our eyes with the super curling wand. The event included a bit of makeup fun, a complimentary eyebrow wax, a Benefit curated Birchbox and a $35 credit towards any Benefit product! It was so much fun getting to try out their new product, all the while enjoying some champagne and mini cupcakes from my favorite cupcake shop in the marina, Susie Cakes.
We started the evening with prosecco and snacks at my favorite marina brunch/lunch/dinner spot, The Tipsy Pig. I absolutely love their happy hour menu that includes 1/2 off any bottle of wine and a ton of delicious snacks.
My sister thoroughly enjoying her Susie cakes and champagne all the while instagram-ing every moment!
Red velvet cupcakes, champagne and Benefit cosmetics, so many loves all in one night!
Just a little makeup touch up. A bit of bronzer, concealer and some super curling mascara.

Have you tried out the new Roller Lash mascara? Let me know in the comments below!

Current Beauty Picks

Tuesday, March 24, 2015

My daily beauty picks tend to change every few weeks. I go back to old foundation favorites, I switch to different shades of blush, I grab a new mascara to try out, but lately I've just been switching it up like crazy adding new products to my daily routine almost every day. I have found a whole new routine of favorites that I just can't seem to get enough that I wanted to share with you. Below are a few of my new favorite beauty picks!
I have been loving the Dr Jart BB Cream as my go to 'foundation' during the day. It does such a great job of minimizing my pores, but I also REALLY love the spf 30 in it (us pale girls need SPF 24/7/365). I got a mini version of the Cargo Swimmables Blush in Los Cabos in my last Birchbox and I've been wearing it every day since. It's such a gorgeous color for Spring and will be absolutely amazing come Summer! Also, it has the benefit of being water resistant and really long lasting so there is no need to re-apply as you transition from day to night. That makes it the absolute perfect blush for traveling! As for concealing those little spots that seem to pop up, I have fallen back in love with Benefit Boi-ing concealer. They call it an 'industrial strength' concealer and I definitely need it for a few of my spots that just don't seem to want to disappear. It covers up any imperfection and blends perfectly with my skin tone. Seriously, I can't believe I ever switched to any other concealer. I picked up Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash mascara at a Benefit & Birchbox launch event (post coming later this week) that I went to last night and I am so excited to add it to my beauty collection. The makeup girl showed me the proper technique for using it and tested in on me so I could see its effects. I couldn't tell if it was a trick of the light, but it really made my eyes look way more open and even on top of the day's mascara, it had zero clumping! I can't wait to try out my newly learned skills with mascara and test it out for myself.

Pretty in Pastels

Monday, March 23, 2015

Easter is so close and with the arrival of Spring, finally, I am ready to pack away Winter and pull out my Spring wardrobe. Pastels are a total staple for Spring. Soft colored hues of mint, pink, coral, lilac showcase a bit of a softer side. I tend to go a big bolder and louder with my usual color choices, but I am starting to get more and more excited to rock some paler shades of my current favorite colors. I especially can't wait to get my hands on some Spring-y Pastel dresses. I am totally drooling over dresses 4 and 5.

Current Obsession: Evian Misters

Sunday, March 22, 2015

Lately, there is one skincare and beauty product that I have been completely obsessed with using on a daily basis, usually more than once a day. It's great for toning skin, setting makeup and even as a quick wake up in the middle of the day. I discovered Evian misters last summer as the perfect quick cool-down for those super hot days. As the seasons switched, I couldn't find a good use for it and stopped buying them, thinking I would just pick them back up again when Summer came again.
That was the plan until a few months ago when my face started freaking out on me. I was getting way more bumps and spots that usual and I couldn't figure out what was really causing it. Wanting to give my skin a bit of break, I put my other toner back on the shelf and immediately grabbed a few bottles of this. It turned out to be the best decision ever. My skin immediately cleared up and felt loads better. My skin felt instantly calm and super hydrated. It even works as a great pick me up during the day in lieu of that extra cup of coffee. Seriously, if you haven't tried a bottle of the Evian mister, you really should!

Birchbox Unboxing March 2015

Thursday, March 19, 2015

With this month's theme of Creativity, I think Birchbox did an amazing job boosting mine in the beauty department. My box this month was chalk full of products that I just couldn't wait to try and it is one of the most versatile boxes yet. I was actually really excited when I discovered what was in my box this month and I couldn't wait to try out each individual product.
In this month's Birchbox, I received:
Cargo Swimmables Water Resistant Blush in Los Cabos - A blush that can last from day to night? Yes please! You can see the shade they gave me below and it is completely gorgeous.
Cover FX Mattifying BB Gel - I have always loved Cover FX products before so I am really excited to try out their new mattifying BB gel. I've tried BB creams before, but never a gel so I'm definitely intrigued.
Michael Todd Kaolin Clay Mask - I am a bit of a face mask addict. They are the perfect addition to any pamper evening and with my stress levels, I tend to have a lot of those! I can't wait to see how that clay masks measures up.
MyChelle Refining Sugar Cleanser - I do like sugar exfoliators and it's such a perfect petite size that this little beauty will definitely be a part of my travel kit for any upcoming adventures.
Macadamia Proffessional Nourishing Moisture Masque - I currently use the macadamia healing oil treatment on the ends of my hair when I shower, but I've been dying to try out the moisture masque. I am so happy it came in a little tub that will give me the proper amount of uses to actually know if I like it or not. Thank goodness for no foil samples!!!!
I had to show you  a close up of the color of this blush. It is such a gorgeous shade and will be absolutely perfect for Spring and Summer, especially on trips or days that I know will be long, hot and arduous.

What was your favorite thing from this month's Birchbox? Share with me in the comments below!

Currently, I'm Loving

Wednesday, March 18, 2015

Erin Condren Life Planner - OMG, so excited for this! I was beyond hyped up on the planner/planning/sticker craze when I found out about Erin Condren life planners and I got even more hooked. I love planning out my daily schedule because writing everything down helps me remember it a whole lot better. Decorating each week in adorable stickers doesn't hurt either. I love taking the time on Sunday to decorate all the exciting days in the upcoming week! I recently even bought some Disney themed and Vacation themed stickers to decorate for my upcoming trips!
Stiegl Radler Grapefruit Beer - This is kinda a weird one, but I am always on the lookout for fun flavored beers. It may just be that I adore flavored everything, but flavored beers just add a bit of fun to the mix and it's hard to find ones that actually deliver on flavor. I must say that if you are a grapefruit or citrus fan, then Stiegl Radler is the beer for you! I am not joking, it barely tastes like beer at all. It just tastes like a bubbly grapefruit drink and is absolutely perfect for warm Spring and Summer days. My sister recently found a shop in San Francisco that sells it so she brings me little cases whenever I'm in need.
Evian Mineral Water Spray - I used to love using this in the middle of Summer to cool down on hot days and give my face a bit of moisture. Now, I've totally transitioned it to my everyday toner. I love how refreshing it feels on my face. It's a perfect wake up in the morning and a perfect cool down at night. It may be a little luxurious to spray your face with mineralized water, but it's definitely been great for my sensitive skin.
Boom Chicka Pop Holidrizzle - I have been avoiding most desserts lately, but I just can't seem to give them up  totally and completely. Instead, I have been trying to find healthier replacements to my cravings for sweets. This popcorn has been exactly the ticket. I've always loved Boom Chicka Pop popcorn, but I had no idea it came in so many flavors, including dessert-y ones. It's basically popcorn that has been drizzled in frosting and sprinkles. It's definitely healthier than donuts and pastries, plus it's super delicious so the only problem I have is making sure I don't eat the whole bag in one go.
Tangle Teezer - This is an old favorite that I have rediscovered lately, but I have been loving my Tangle Teezer. It's great for quickly and easily combing out your hair without causing a lot of damage. I also love it for easily restyling through the day. When my fringe falls a bit flat, I just re-comb it through the Tangle Teezer to give it a little boost. If you're looking for a new, handbag sized hair brush, definitely pick up one of these!
J.Crew Factory Side-Slit Tunic - I am a bit stripe-obsessed, especially lately. I just can't seem to get enough stripes to satisfy my need. This side-slit tunic has been a top favorite lately. It is so incredibly comfy to throw on with a pair of jeans or a bright white skirt and head out for the day. It's actually my first red striped tee and I can't believe I didn't own one before. It's just so terribly cute and makes me feel quite nautical when I'm wearing it. Perfect for all lovers of stripes!
Coola Radical Recovery After Sun Lotion - I went for a long walk last weekend, long being 19 miles across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and back. I tried to be very diligent about applying sunscreen, but of course it turned out, I miss a few small spots. For all of us who have endured a few sunburns, they are terrible and uncomfortable and all kinds of annoying. My fastest and best source of relief was this lotion. Within 24 hours, the redness and emanating heat off the sunburn was gone. I have never had an after-sun gel or cream that could do all of that, that quickly. It's perfect for both face and body, which is great because sunburns do not discriminate over where they appear. Even my boyfriend ended up using it to relive the burn he got on his nose and he loved the refreshing herbal scent.

Rocksbox Sparkle

Tuesday, March 17, 2015

I have been totally loving and utilizing my RocksBox subscription. I'm already on my second set of pieces and I keep falling for each individual set. I've rattled on about RocksBox before and I just find that I love it more and more with the opening of each box. RocksBox is a subscription jewelry rental service that charges a once a month flat fee to send you unlimited pieces of high end jewelry. They charge $19 per month for a selection of personalized pieces to fit your specific style. I was really excited when Rocksbox offered to send me a few boxes to show off!
It's also awesome that you get an insider discount on the pieces that you leave so that you never have to send them back if you can't bear to be without them. I loved the pieces that my stylist sent in this box. The Perry Street Becca necklace was simply beautiful for a late brunch with friends and I loved being able to pair it with the Perry Street Gwen Crystal Studs. Such a beautiful combination.
I love that I can send my stylist notes too! It will be great to try out some pretty pieces for upcoming events.

Swimsuit Favorites

Monday, March 16, 2015

It's March, almost Spring, and I can just start to feel the buds coming into bloom. Naturally, this has me thinking ahead about Summer, warm sun, beaches and swimsuits. If I could jump on a plane right now and hit a warm beach somewhere, I'd be packed in a heartbeat. For now though, I'll just have to plan for my little May getaway to Palm Springs. When I head off on vacation, I always need to have more than one suit packed away so I can switch off easily. While perusing through numerous sites, I found a bunch of swimsuits that I just thought were way too cute to pass up. I am drooling over each of these suits and counting down the days to May!

Spring Polishes

Sunday, March 15, 2015

I am way too overly excited for Spring to arrive this week. Finally, the cold weather can be over and bright colors will start popping up everywhere. Spring definitely signifies the beginning of new things, like collecting a whole round of bright new polishes! I'm putting away my dark reds and deep blues in favor of sparkly pinks and shimmery aqua colors. I heavily think that color can change your moods so I'm really excited to go for some bright shades to cheer up my mood on a daily basis. I have found so many new polish loves from Essie. They have some gorgeous new shades for Spring like Flowerista and Garden Variety and some old bright favorites like Mint Candy Apple and Lapiz of Luxury. I can't wait to rock all these shades as the weather gets warmer!

Spring Wishlist

Thursday, March 12, 2015

Spring is almost here, official start is March 20th, and I couldn't be more excited. I'm ready to wear short sleeve shirts, fun skirts and brightly colored dresses. San Francisco has actually been warming up over the past couple of days and I've started putting away my thicker sweaters and tights in favor of some of my Spring favorites only to find that I didn't have as many as I thought I did. I did a massive overhaul on my closet a few months back leaving it a little bare for the seasons. This obviously means I'm allowed to do some Spring shopping, right? I mean I can't run around and frolic in the sun in thick tights and sweaters, now can I? I  went online and started to go through page after page of the new arrivals for Spring on some of my absolutely favorite sites.  Here are some of the items I would love to wear/use/flaunt this Spring!

St. Patrick's Day Outfit Ideas

Wednesday, March 11, 2015

Saint Patrick's Day is coming up soon and I have definitely been delving into my closet trying to choose the best combination of green shades to wear for the occasion. It all really depends on what you'll be doing to celebrate the holiday. If you're headed to a nice dinner with family or friends, you may want to opt for Outfit #1 with a nice green dress and accompanying green striped Kate Spade purse and demure cream heels. If you're day pub-hopping with the gang, it may be best to dress a little more low key with Outfit #2. I absolutely love the festive tank from Target and green converse. The headband is such a fun accessory to add, showcasing a bit of a playful side. Whether you're headed out or staying in, you should always be wearing some piece of green on March 17th!

Afternoon Tea at the Palace

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

The Palace Hotel has to be my favorite hotel in the city. The hotel itself gives off a very 'old San Francisco' vibe and by that I mean glamorous and decadent. I have been a frequent visitor to the wood paneled Pied Piper bar, but I have never had the High Tea at the Garden Court. When my boyfriend suggested we make a reservation for the upcoming Saturday, I was over the moon excited. I  am an avid tea drinker, but with high tea, I find that I love the formality and bite size treats more than anything. It is such a fun way to take a time out from your day to enjoy a meal in a different way. We choose the "Tea for Two'' service which included the Garden Court Signature Tea Service along with two small bottle of champagne, a brut for the savories and a rosé for the sweets.

When I say grand and glamorous, you can see how I would think that from these shots of the Garden Court. This room is simply magnificent with its grand chandeliers and domed ceiling. We even had a harpist playing softly next to us as we sipped on our tea.
As for the actual tea, My boyfriend chose the Legacy Blend tea, made with rose, golden bergamot and creamy vanilla. It's actually blended exclusively for the Palace Hotel and you can buy a tin of it at the hotel. I must say my boyfriend definitely made the better choice with the tea. It was a delicious floral tea with a light hint of vanilla. I chose the Masala Black Tea Chai, which was a tasty spiced tea, but was definitely not as good the Legacy Blend. As Chai teas go, it was pretty basic.
There was a great selection of savory sandwiches to go with our mini bottle of Brut champagne and different teas. From left to right, we had a Black Forest Ham & Cheese on a mini croissant, a Chicken Curry Mousse on a toasted baguette, a Scallion Black Sesame Crepe, A Roulade of Salmon and an Asparagus & Egg on buttermilk bread. My favorite had to be the Salmon Roulade, but the Black Forest Ham & Brie cheese was definitely a close second. I just loved how bite sized everything was. I got to try a couple tastes of each without overdoing it on any one item.
With the sweets selection came the bottle of Rosé champagne. I do love my pink champagne!
There were seven different selections of sweets to taste from, way too many to remember them all, but they were all completely delicious. I loved how they came in on this little tiered display. It made it so much fun to decide which to try next. One of my favorites had to be the chocolate strawberry, which is a classic, but it just went so darn well with the pink champagne.
If you are on the fence about trying out a tea service somewhere, I urge to go right now and do it! It was so much fun to take some time out of the day for a bit of quiet and 'us' time, plus tasting all the savories and sweets was such an excitement. I'm definitely planning on trying out a few other tea services around the city very, very soon!

My Baggu Spring Picks

Monday, March 9, 2015

Spring is almost here, which means I'm starting to plan a few vacations for when the weather turns warmer. Safe to say, I will be doing a lot of packing and unpacking of all my travel necessities.  I like to have a bag for every little thing so that I know exactly where in my bag is the item I need.  A bag for swim gear, a bag for makeup, a bag for shower stuff, a bag for shoes, a bag for jewelry. This means I need a lot of bags and lately all of my favorite travel bag essentials come from BAGGU
Simple, durable materials and creative designs, prints and colors means they have a bag for literally every occasion. They have their standard ripstop nylon baggu bags in the cutest prints and colors that vary in sizes from baby baggus to big baggus. They are great for grocery shopping at home, but they are also fantastic for packing away all the little presents you bought on vacation. Baggu also carries small 3D zip bags that are perfect for smaller toiletries and medium and large zip bags that are great for shoes, makeup and everything else! The Duck bag makes an awesome carry on for all of your 'on the plane' or 'in the car' essentials. I also have to say how much I love their carry all and weekend bags. Made of canvas and nylon in varying colors, the carry all and weekend bags are super spacious and durable for that over night stay or weekend getaway. I definitely have my eye on that striped weekend bag for all my upcoming trips!

Sparkle and Shine

Sunday, March 8, 2015

Saturday afternoon and I find myself at one of my favorite hotels in San Francisco, The Palace. Since I was headed there to enjoy some afternoon high tea, I felt it was only appropriate to dress up a bit. A simple, but very pretty green dress would just not do without a couple pieces of sparkle and shine. I wore all three pieces that I received in my most recent Rocksbox and they worked perfectly for the occasion.
Skipping down the hallways feeling like Eloise!
I loved wearing this Perry Street Crystal flower ring. It added the perfect amount of sparkle on my hand. The pretty polish adorning my nails is Tuck it in my Tux from Essie.
Loren Hope Sylvia Necklace in Crystal is the perfect necklace to make a sparkly statement!
These pointed toe Raygan flats from Sole Society are perfect for dressing up and down. I also really love the polka dot details that line the top and sides of the flats.

Spring Break Packing

Thursday, March 5, 2015

I wish I was actually packing a bag ready to hit the beach for Spring Break, but unfortunately you don't just get a week off in March out in the real world. So, to combat my Spring Break-less woes, I created this fantastic list for some of the items I would be packing if I were headed out to some fun and sun. A good swimsuit is definitely key and I think this anchor pattern swimsuit from J.Crew is just so cute and so nautical. Another item that would definitely be on my list is a Baggu 3D Zip bag. These things are so handy when it comes to packing because it can carry practically anything from your favorite pair of night out heels, your delicates, your swim suit and cover up, your makeup and a whole lot more. I also love that they come in really exciting prints and patterns and that they are soo easy to wash. When it comes to packing for Spring Break, multi-tasking makeup items like the Jose Maran Cheek & Lip Stain are totally essential. This tiny little container of color can work both as a blush and tinted lip stain, which gives you the perfect amount of color when you transition from the beach to a fun dinner out.
Another great item to have in your bag is a dress up/dress down dress. You can wear it for a quick run around the town with a pair of cute flip flops or out to a nicer dinner with a clutch and pair of heels. I love the pattern on this dress. It just totally sums up Spring and Spring Break for me! I also find it necessary to pack the perfect Spring Break scent when I travel, something that just evokes that feeling of being on a tropical vacation. For that, I really love Bath & Body Works Coconut Lime Fragrance Mist and their Coconut Lime Body Lotion. After getting back from the beach and showering, I lather and spray myself with these to stay in that beachy vaca mood. Plus, after a ton of exposure to the sun, you'll definitely need to stay moisturized. Speaking of sun exposure, a pale girl like myself needs to be encased in SPF 24/7 and my go to essentials kit for that is the Supergoop City & Sand Sunscreen Travel Tote. This little kit has everything you need to keep the UV rays at bay. I especially love the sunscreen serum under my daily makeup and the spf 30 mint fusion lip balm because even your lips need some spf protection. Lastly, I think it's incredibly essential to have the perfect pair of sandals for Spring Break and any and all other vacations. You need a pair that you can dress up or down because sometimes you'll never know where you'll be heading. These Neon Jack Rogers Sandals are the perfect shoes for that. Made of leather and neon stitching, these are the best mix to dress up or down an outfit. Plus, they are super comfy! Check out some of my other Spring Break packing essentials below.

Classy Girls Wear Pearls

Wednesday, March 4, 2015

I have always been in love with the idea of pearls. Pearls to me have always been classic, classy and timeless. I have this single strand pearl necklace that my mom gave me years and years ago and whenever I wear it, I feel like it gives me an extra dose of that Grace Kelly or Jackie O charm and grace. Now a single strand of pearls doesn't always go with every outfit, but that doesn't mean that you can find a way to wear pearls every single day. Whether you're a minimalist or looking to make a statement, there is a strand of pearls out there for you. Lately, I've been visiting KJP's pearl beauties on a daily basis, virtually of course. With every piece made in America and an aesthetic that symbolizes understated elegance, every piece is an instant everyday classic.

RocksBox Jewelry Love

Tuesday, March 3, 2015

Subscription boxes and beautiful jewelry make such an awesome combination and my particular favorite in this category has to be RocksBox! RocksBox is a subscription jewelry rental service that charges a once a month flat fee to send you unlimited pieces of high end jewelry. They charge $19 per month for a selection of personalized pieces to fit your specific style. You can opt for glam statement pieces or delicate everyday minimal, whatever the style, they have gorgeous pieces that you will definitely want to try. When they reached out to me to try out their service for three months, it was a total resounding yes!
Personally, I feel like it is such a cool way to add a bit of flair to my everyday work wear. I have a couple statement pieces here and there, but I am so picky when it comes to jewelry and I am always hesitant to buy a piece if I can't ensure that I will wear it with a bunch of different outfits. This is the perfect solution for that. I filled out my style profile and picked a bunch of pieces that I thought I would enjoy wearing. Then, my rockin' RocksBox stylist personally picked three pieces based on my wish list and pieces that she thought I would enjoy. I can wear the pieces wherever I want for as long as I want, there is no need to return them by a certain date. In fact, if I like a piece too much to return it, I can buy it at an exclusive members only price. Once I want to switch up the look, I simply pack up the pieces in the provided slips and send them back. Once they are received, my stylist will set to work picking out three new pieces for me! It's like having access to an endless closet of beautiful jewelry to wear each day.
I love that you see your name as soon as you own the box. It makes me feel like they really picked the box just for me!
I simply love the Loren Hope necklace they put in my first selection. It is such a gorgeous and vibrant statement piece. I really can't wait to wear it out and shine a bit more brightly.

Kate Spade Spring Arrivals

Sunday, March 1, 2015

I have had a love affair with Kate Spade for quite some time now, but upon discovering their Spring line, I have fallen in love all over again. Stripes, Florals and Scallops, oh my! They have taken the notion of Spring head on and produced some beautiful pieces to get you into the sunny spirit. It will soon be time to discard those heavy winter sweaters and tights and embrace some lighter fabrics and brighter colors. Here are some of the Spring pieces I am most excited for at Kate Spade!
